Pointillism or Dotwork is an art style consisting of hundreds and thousands of tiny dots. This style initially appealed to me as I discovered I was able to create and display a mass of great detail. The amount of detail in my pieces, is one of the aspects of my work that I am most proud of. I enjoy creating beautiful pieces, highlighting the stunning detail of common things.

Hello! After posting this, I am going to have a screen free morning and spend some time putting the pen to the paper and work on my new product designs! I realised just the other day that I haven't spent a good chunk of quality, focused time illustrating pointillism designs for a good while. So that's what I'm going to do this morning. I've got my pads, my pens and I'm ready to get creative!✨ What are you working on at the moment? I'd love to know! ✨✨✨
Morning! I hope everyone is ready to kick start their week! I've certainly just done that by watching the @indie_roller live branding workshop by @laurenastondesigns 😍 What an inspiring, motivational workshop, oh my gosh! I'm ready to reevaluate my branding, my values and and make Dots and Ink Pots more cohesive and a better reflection of me. Happy Saturday! What are your plans for the day? I'm spending the morning at my desk planning and designing some new designs for a whole new product area that I'm going to announce in the next month or two! Morning, I'm having a blog writing day today to try and have a bunch scheduled ahead of when I go back to uni. How do you like my new desk set up? I had a rejig after being burgled and Christmas in order to try and have a fresh, new space to start the new year with. I quite like it! It looks cosier and more like a little nook in the corner, which I love. There's just something about fairly lights that make everything look lovely. Don't you agree? ✨
Morning! I've written my first blog post of the year! 🎉 As we're well into January now, I hope you're all getting back into the swing of things. I'm not really a fan of conventional New Year's "Resolutions", the whole idea of feeling like you have to change things about yourself just because it's a new year or that it perpetuates a myth that you aren't good enough as you are. However, I do like using the new year as an opportunity to reflect on the past year and think about what brought me joy and what didn't and try and make goals of doing the joyful things more and the not so joyful things less. I think the thing with resolutions is the attitude and perspective you're going into them with. If you're making them from a positive place and with the intention of doing things that make you happy more rather than limiting yourself, I think they can be a wonderful thing.
